Changes to SMS Sender IDs in Australia from 1 July 2026

Important Update

Any SMS you receive from "Personify" is a legitimate, verified message sent to you by your healthcare provider.

New regulations affecting SMS messaging are coming into effect soon — here's what it means for you.

From 1 July 2026, new rules around SMS Sender IDs come into effect across Australia. Text messages sent from unregistered sender IDs may appear on recipients' phones as "Unverified" and could be grouped with other unverified messages, while registered sender IDs will continue to display normally. You can learn more about the ACMA SMS Sender ID Register here.

Personify Care is fully prepared for this change. We've registered "Personify" as our sender ID with ACMA, so SMS messages you receive will display correctly and won't be flagged as unverified or spam.

What this means for you

  • You may temporarily see 'Personify' instead of your usual clinic or service name while your health service finishes registering their Sender ID

  • Any SMS you receive from "Personify" in the meantime is a legitimate, verified message
